In bringing my passions together, I established ‘The Place to Be’ to complement my academic work in Trinity College Dublin with building real organisational cultures which foster and promote well-being. Having practiced mindfulness for many years and seen its value in my own life, my passion is to share it with both the students and organisations with whom I work. In doing so I have developed modules and programmes for students and organisations in the areas of wellbeing at work, mindfulness and mindful leadership.

I hold a PhD in Organisational Behaviour and an MSc in Human Resource Management. I am an Academic Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) and a fully qualified Mindfulness teacher with the Mindfulness Centre Ireland.
I have over 10 years’ experience teaching and researching in the areas of HR, organisational behaviour, and workplace well-being. I've completed wellbeing research with organisations in both the public and private sector and advised in the development of wellbeing policies and programmes for employees using an evidence-based approach. I also regularly engage with HR practitioners and managers to disseminate my work and to learn from others through HR conferences and practitioner publications such as CIPD’s People Management and the Irish Times’ World of Work. My research has been presented at a number of international conferences and published in leading international journals.
